Our People
Diversity
We are committed to addressing and working through the steps necessary to create a more equitable future. We strive to create a culture of inclusion by where employees are able to freely contribute equally, and are working to ensure our hiring practices ensure a diverse and representative workforce and investing in education for our employees. We have policies, trainings, and practices aimed at increasing the diversity of our workforce, as well as a robust collection of programs intended to support initiatives to create a more inclusive workplace. We also strive to create inclusive marketing campaigns with a goal of featuring BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and diversity of body types and abilities in 60% of our campaigns. At HOKA, we hope that our efforts and initiatives will foster a more inclusive workplace and ultimately enable us to create the change we want to see.
Supply Chain
We believe in the power of our scale and wish to use that for good. We have a responsibility to ensure a healthy and safe working environment for people producing our footwear and apparel. We respect human rights, remedy violations in accordance with the International Labor Organization (ILO), and monitor the chemistry within our products to meet global regulations and our own voluntary regulations. We believe in responsible consumption and building product that is built to last, possible only with an ethical supply chain.
Our Ethical Supply Chain Supplier Code of Conduct outlines our expectations of our partners. Partners are audited against our Ethical Supply Chain Code of Conduct and monitored for both environmental and health and safety issues. Our Executive team also meets periodically throughout the year to review the performance scorecards of our key partners.
Additionally, we work with programs like Better Work to advance health and safety in our industry. Audit scores are available in the Fair Factory Clearinghouse, which allows us to benchmark our performance against that of other brands. Because we believe in transparency, we joined the Transparency Pledge in 2021. By aligning with the pledge, we are showcasing our commitment to maintain a transparent supply chain, ensuring meaningful corporate accountability and better working conditions. As part of this commitment to transparency, we publish a list of all HOKA factories (those facilities where finished product is made) and suppliers (those facilities where materials are manufactured) on www.deckers.com/responsibility, and provide valuable data including address, number of workers, gender breakdown, and brands produced.
